Avlabari is one of Tbilisi's oldest neighbourhoods, on the left bank of the Mtkvari (Kura) river opposite the Old Town. Historically the city's Armenian quarter, it is now part of Isani district and includes Metekhi, Rike and Zemo (Upper) Avlabari. Landmarks include Metekhi Church with the statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali, the Holy Trinity (Sameba) Cathedral, Rike Park and Avlabari metro station on the Akhmeteli-Varketili line. Main streets are Ketevan Tsamebuli Avenue, Telavi, Bochormi, Abuladze and Metekhi streets. People here buy and rent old courtyard houses, Soviet-era blocks and new-build flats, often looking near the metro. Being next to the tourist centre, Avlabari also has many hotels, guesthouses, cafes and commercial spaces for rent. From 448 listings in 2026, the median flat price is about $1,910/m2, private houses about $1,700/m2, and a flat rents for about $750 a month. On Bazarla you can post or find a flat, house, commercial space, car or job in Avlabari for free.
