Bazarla

VAT calculator

This free VAT (value-added tax) calculator does two things: it adds VAT to a net amount, or extracts the tax from a VAT-inclusive amount. Azerbaijan's standard VAT (ƏDV) rate is 18% (Georgia's is also 18%), and the calculator opens with 18% preset. It speeds up invoice and price calculations for businesses, sellers and accountants.

How the calculation works

There are two modes. In 'Add', VAT = amount × rate / 100 and the total = amount + VAT. In 'Extract', the amount you enter is treated as VAT-inclusive; the net = amount / (1 + rate/100) and the VAT is the difference. You can change the rate (e.g. 0% or 18%).

Worked example

Adding 18% VAT to 1000 gives VAT of 180 and a total of 1180. Extracting VAT from 1180 gives a net of ~1000 and VAT of ~180.
