Gold price
This free tool shows the current market price of gold per gram and ounce (in dollars and lari) and, with a karat calculator, estimates the value of your gold. Enter the weight in grams and the karat (24k, 22k, 18k, 14k) and the value is worked out at the current price.
Source: cbar.az — official Central Bank of Azerbaijan bank-metal rates; the GEL price uses the official National Bank of Georgia (NBG) rate (refreshed hourly).
How it works
The gold price comes from the official bulletin of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBAR); if CBAR is unreachable, an open market source is used. Data is refreshed on the server once an hour. An ounce is converted to grams (1 ounce ≈ 31.1 g). The gold value = weight × karat purity × price per gram. Purity: 24k = 0.999, 22k = 0.916, 18k = 0.750, 14k = 0.585.
Example
For 10 grams of 18k gold, the value = 10 × 0.75 × (current price per gram). The result is based on the hourly-refreshed price.
