Date difference calculator
This free tool calculates the difference between two dates in days, weeks, full months and exact years-months-days. It also counts working days, leaving out weekends and the official public holidays of the country you pick — Georgia, Azerbaijan or Armenia. Handy for leave, contract deadlines, paperwork and delivery times.
How the calculation works
The calculator subtracts the start date from the end date to give whole days (tick the box to include the end day). Months are full calendar months. For working days it checks every date: Saturdays, Sundays and the chosen country's public holidays are excluded. Georgia's list includes the Orthodox Easter days (Good Friday to Easter Monday); for Azerbaijan the official 2025–2026 production calendar is used, including days off moved by Cabinet decision. In Georgia and Armenia a holiday that falls on a weekend is not moved. Everything runs in your browser.
Worked example
1 January 2026 – 1 February 2026: the difference is 31 days. January has 22 weekdays; after public holidays that leaves 19 working days in Azerbaijan (1, 2 and 20 January), 18 in Georgia (1, 2, 7 and 19 January) and 17 in Armenia (1, 2, 6, 27 and 28 January).
Frequently asked questions
How are months counted?
As full calendar months, with the remainder shown in days (e.g. 1 year 2 months 5 days).
How are working days counted?
Monday to Friday, minus the selected country's public holidays. For Azerbaijan in 2025 and 2026 the Ministry of Labour's production calendar is used (five-day week: 239 and 241 working days).
Are holidays that fall on a weekend moved?
In Azerbaijan, yes — to the next working day. In Georgia and Armenia, no.
Is the result accurate?
Days and months are exact. Holiday lists come from official sources, but governments can announce extra days off — check the official calendar when it matters.
