IMEI checker
This free tool checks whether a phone's 15-digit IMEI is correctly formatted and shows which signals it triggered. It's useful for a first check when buying a used phone. Important: a valid IMEI only confirms the number is well-formed — it does NOT mean the phone isn't stolen or blocked.
How it works
An IMEI is 15 digits, the last being a check digit from the Luhn algorithm. The tool reviews the length, that it's digits only, and the Luhn checksum, then shows risk signals. The check runs entirely in your browser — the number is never sent anywhere and is not stored.
Example
You can find a phone's IMEI by dialling *#06# or on the box. Enter it — if the Luhn check fails, the number is mistyped or invalid. If it passes, the format is valid, but that does not confirm the phone is 'clean'.
