Frequently asked questions
Who qualifies for the 1% status in Georgia?
Registered sole proprietors in allowed activities; Georgian tax residency is not required. If annual turnover exceeds 500,000 GEL, the part above is taxed at 3%.
Can a freelancer in Azerbaijan pay the 2% simplified tax?
Yes, if you are not VAT-registered and your revenue in any 12 consecutive months is at most 200,000 AZN. It is not available for licensed activities or if more than 30% of quarterly revenue comes from services to tax-registered persons.
What tax does a freelancer pay in Armenia?
Up to 24,000,000 AMD of annual turnover, the micro-business regime is exempt from the main taxes (legal, accounting, audit, consulting and notarial services are excluded). Above that, turnover tax applies — 10% for most services.
Is this an official calculation?
No, it's an estimate. Bazarla is not a government site. For the exact liability, consult an accountant or your country's tax service.
Are expenses considered?
Turnover-based regimes (Small Business, simplified tax, turnover tax) don't deduct expenses. In the general regime, tax is charged on profit (income − expenses).
