- How can I check that an apartment for sale in Batumi is legally clean before buying?
- Ask the seller for a current extract from Georgia's public property registry (the National Agency of Public Registry). It names the registered owner and shows any mortgage or claim on the apartment. When you agree on a price, the ownership transfer is signed and registered at a Public Service Hall, with both sides present and valid ID.
- Can I get a mortgage to buy an apartment in Batumi?
- Georgian banks offer mortgage loans, but the amount and terms depend on the bank and your income, so compare offers directly with them. On Bazarla you can message the Batumi seller first to confirm the asking price and whether they accept a bank transfer.
- What should I check when I view an apartment in Batumi?
- See it in person before paying anything. Check the floor and lift, the condition of walls and plumbing, whether water, gas and electricity are connected, and that the paperwork matches the person selling. Message the owner through Bazarla to arrange a viewing directly, with no agency in between.
