- How much deposit do I need to rent an apartment in Batumi?
- Security deposits are agreed directly with the owner — one month's rent is the most common figure in Georgia, and it is normally returned at the end of the tenancy if the flat is left in good condition. Bazarla never holds your money or takes a deposit, so confirm the amount and refund terms with the landlord in writing before you pay.
- What lease term and notice period are usual in Batumi, Georgia?
- Most rentals here run on a simple written agreement — either month to month or for a fixed term such as six or twelve months. A written contract is not legally required in Georgia but is strongly recommended, and either side can register it if they wish. Agree the length of the lease and how much notice each party must give before you move in.
- Are utilities included in the rent in Batumi?
- Usually not — in Georgia electricity, water and gas are billed by meter, so tenants normally pay them on top of the monthly rent. Ask the owner exactly what the rent covers, whether internet or building fees are included, and check the current meter readings on the day you move in to avoid inheriting someone else's bill.
